  1. Diploma in Civil Engineering.
  2. Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
  3. Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
  4. Diploma in Electronics & Communication Engineering.

Intake: 60 Seats

General :15 Seats(Through BGSBU)   
Self Supporting : 05 Seats (Through BGSBU)  

Intake in each stream : 40 Seats (through BOPEE)

 

Eligibility for Admission

  • Secondary School (Matriculation) Certificate from any recognized Board of School Education.
  • Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination or those whose result of the same is awaited can also apply and appear in the test provisionally.

 

Procedure for Admission

  • Admission to Diploma Engineering courses for University quota shall be made on the basis of Merit in the qualifying examination.
  • While those allocated to BoPEE will be filled through Entrance Examination conducted by BoPEE.
  

 

Admission under Lateral Entry system in 3rd semester

The University Polytechnic also offers admission under lateral entry system in 3rd Semester.

Eligibility: Eligibility Criterion and desired branch of 3 years Diploma in University Polytechnic Under lateral Entry scheme are:
S.No. 10th Pass + 2 years ITI/12th pass with PCM Desired Branch
 1. Draftsman Civil, Building Constructor (ITI Mason) Civil Engineering.   
2. Draftsman Electrical Electrical/ECE
 3. Draftsman Mechanical/Fitter/Instrument Mechanic/ Machinist/Mechanic Refrigeration and Air conditioner/Turner/ Mechanic Motor Vehicle Mechanical Engineering.
4. Electrician/ Electronic Mechanic/ Information Technology & Electronics System Maintenance/ Mechanic Medical Electronics/ Mechanic Consumer Electronics/ Mechanic Industrial Electronics E&C Engineering/ Electrical Engineering.
5. Mechanic Radio and TV/ Mechanic Computer Hardware E&C Engineering
6. 10+2 pass (Math, Physics and Chemistry) Any appropriate Branch
 

Procedure for Admission:

The admission shall be made on the basis of marks secured in the qualifying examination

Intake: Number of vacant seats out of total sanctioned intake of 60. In case there are no vacant seats available the 15% of total sanctioned intake, which will be 15% of 60 = 9.
