The Department of Civil Engineering, School of Engineering and Technology, Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University, Rajouri, J&K has setup state of art of  instrumentation Laboratory  in the field of Geotechnical Engineering in the year 2008. This laboratory involves in testing for soil description and classification, soil compaction, permeability, seepage through soil, consolidation, shear strength, unconfined compressive strength and penetration resistance.  The purpose of the laboratory is to facilitate high-level research and development work within the field of Geotechnic and soil mechanics with emphasis on advanced soils laboratory testing, field testing and monitoring.
