Green House


A temperature-controlled Green House was fabricated under the Ministry of Environment, Forests and  Climate Change, Govt. of India funded project “Financial assistance for the development of LEAD Botanical Garden for the North-Western Phytogeographic region of the Himalaya at BGSB University, Rajouri, J&K” sanctioned to Dr. Susheel Verma and Dr. Shreekar Pant as PI and Co-PI respectively in Centre for Biodiversity Studies in 2010. The facility was developed to raise, propagate and conserve high altitude plants of the North West Phyto-geographical Region of Indian Himalaya. It is fully automated and fully equipped with air conditioning systems, water sprinklers, and heating devices. Since its fabrication, the facility is being used by students of M. Sc, M. Phil and Ph. D to raise the plant materials and do experimental work under controlled conditions of temperature and humidity.
