University Infrastructure

The University has good number of buses which are made available to the students and faculty members for commuting from various points in the city and also from the suburbs to the campus and back. All students should make use of the Univesity Transport or should stay in the hostek. This facility has made it possible to start the classes in time and thereby helping the academic process. Our bus facilities have enabled us to maintain discipline among students.

All the buses started from the Campus 8:00 am, The buses leave the Campus at 5 :00 pm , which helps all the students to reach home early and safely.
For the benefit of those students who attending special classes, events etc., special buses are arranged.

The Univesity Health Centre was established to promote physical, mental & social well being of the students of the BGSBU university. Health Check up of every staff/Students residing in the campus are made on routine basis. The staff of the University Health Centre (UHC) comprises of Medical Officer and staff Nurse, Pharmaacists, a Senior Technical Assistant, Technical Assistants, Lab Technician and other supportive staff functions under the overall supervision and administrative control of the University.

OPD Services:-
Doctors of the University Health centre provide primary health care. The student can just walk in for consultations and treatment.
Specialist : Consultations with the specialists are made on request.
Counselors are also there in Health centre to provide counseling.
Medicines are provided free of cost to students from the pharmacy of the Health Centre as per university rules through govt. Medical stores depot and local purchase
from approved chemist inside the campus.
Laboratory facility provides spectrum of routinely available Hematological. Biochemical and Microbiology tests.
Referral services to public hospitals for specialized treatment/hospitalization and other services which are not covered by the U.H.C.
Medical examinations for academic pursuits in the University.

Ambulance:-
Two Ambulance are available at the Health Centre for 24 hrs. Medical Staff is alsio available at night from 9 pm to 8 am on rotation basis with the ambulance.

Banking & ATM Facilities

The University has dedicated banking facility within the campus provided by J&K Bank, which is operating in a independent building. The Bank has opened ATM within the University Campus. The bank provides some facilities like savings account, RD account, Student Loan, Laptop Loan Facility etc.

Post-Office

The postal department has opened a post-office for the use of the residents of the university in the campus itself. The post-office has all standard facilities including Money order, Speed Post, Registered Post, etc. The postal address of the campus is :

The UGC has introduced a Scheme for Day Care Centre in Universities (Xth Plan) to provide day care facilities on payment basis at universities for children of around one year to six years of age when their parents (University Employees/Students) are away from home during the day. It also includes the wards of male employees, scholars, students whose wives are working elsewhere. The main objective is to help the women and working parents (Universities Employee) for pursuing their academic career. All eligible Universities under secton 12(B) of the UGC Act are considered under the scheme.
BGSB University has also started child care programmes (Creche) within the campus to help working employees of the university relating to the welfare and well being if their children.

The safety and security of children is a major issue with university employees especially women or working mothers. Therefore, BGSBU Day care centre aims at providing comfortable safe and secure environment to the child.
Indoor games, colourful charts & pictures, educative toys & blocks and other learning material to develop cognitive skills of the children are provided in the centre.

The Main Shopping Complex, at the Sabrang Square just inside the main entrance gate to the University Campus consists of two rows of a parralel shopping complex with around 10 shops that cater to virtually all the requirements of the residents of the university including students, staff and faculty members. These shops include two Grocery cum General stores having all modern amenities, One Stationary Shop , Friuts and Vegetables Shop, Two Canteens, etc. Other than that the University has three other canteens, One (Badshah Canteen near Engineering College Library, One at Aminities Centre near Gymansium and one in the middle of the valley of the University (The PeerPal Cafe).
